Long-jawed orb-weaver spider
As a result of the presence of other species that look similar to this species and the need for a thorough research, this species is difficult to distinguish from others.
Orb webs of this species can be found in a variety of environments, with the majority of them occurring at low elevations on trees, bushes, and other low vegetation. Despite the fact that it can be found near water, it does not have the same close association with wetland habitats as T. extensa.
Tetragnatha species all have their legs stretched out in front and behind them, giving them a stick-like appearance that makes them difficult to distinguish from other animals.
It is extremely common and widespread in southern Britain, although it is becoming more scattered in the northern hemisphere.
