Creating a Smart Chatbot - [High-Level Tutorial]
Dmitry Persiyanov, who is working on dialog systems, has recently posted a bigger-picture (not a detailed guide) tutorial on how to use machine learning to build smart chatbots.
In the tutorial, Dmitry delves into:
- generative and selective conversational models (hybrid models are also possible)
- aspects of dialogue data representation
- using TensorFlow and Keras to build models
- practical aspects of generative and selective models
- pros and cons for each of these models
- links to RNN (Recurrent Neural Networks) tutorials for this purpose.
In my view, this field of conversational agents is very hot right now and it's least likely to become colder any time soon. Dmitry's post also goes into the math of generative and selective models and I think that a solid understanding of these is a requirement for those who want to develop the skill of creating and/or contributing to such models.
