Cat's Claw Creeper Hissy Fit.

in #macfadyena6 years ago

Cat's Claw Creeper ( Macfadyena unguis-cati ) is a fast growing colourful climbing plant which is native to tropical areas of Central and South America and the West Indies. It is also called the Yellow Trumpet Vine because of it's showy flowers. The claw-like tendrils on the stems mean that the plant readily climbs over a trellis or fence to provide a good screen for privacy or to make a blooming great display in the garden. This plant is best planted in a sunny position for maximum flowering.

This plant is a declared weed in many countries because it can become invasive and grow out of control. I took these photos because it looks so good here growing amongst the white flowers of Chinese Star Jasmine. The location is on the Sydney Harbourside.NEW1 184.JPGNEW1 183.JPG
