How to FORMAT external hard drive for MAC

Before using an external hard drive on a Mac, you should format it using Disk Utility.

This insures that you will have a compatible hard drive with your computer.

To format external hard drive on Mac, all you have to do is plugin your hard drive and launch disk utility. Then you want to choose erase within disk utility.
Make sure you choose Mac OS Journaled Extended when setting up your new drive.
