Just a Job

About a Guy working for a Drug Dealer who see's an opportunity to get more than his share , foolishly takes it , and finds his life somewhat disrupted ( understated a tad)
Another one that I did the Melody for first, actually performed the song in a previous state with the band Leash.
I was never happy with the original Chorus. Late last year while messing around in my Studio , suddenly these words for the Chorus popped into my head, much better now.
Strange thing when you write Lyrics , often the First Verse that you put down should not actually be the first verse! It tells too much.
In putting this out there on Steemit I moved what I had first, to last, it does fit the story better. ( Opinions?)

Took the dealers pile of money
Thought I'd score with the honey
Got away with it, such a cinch
Asked me about it didn't flinch

I got home late that night
Tough Guy got such a fright
Legs like water start to sag
My Girl ready for a body bag

Get in my car drive so fast
Got to make my life last
Power slide through the bend
If they catch me its my end

Sitting here felling so depressed
Guess I'll put on my bullet proof vest
Walk on over to the door
Shot goes off I hit the floor
