My Love It Shove It List
Heeeeeeeey! This is ya girl @thegaillery, making a comeback after 18 days of inactivity here on my page. As some of you may have guessed, I focused my efforts in writing for the Steem Summit page. Now that I feel like there's no stopping the Steem Summit from happening tomorrow, I can now balance my writing efforts here on my main page and on the Summit page. A quick note before I head on to the meat of my post: see y'all today for the Steem Summit, Cebuano Steemians! We have so much going on for our community! Eeeep!
Wait, sis, why write now?
Because why not? Haha, to be honest, the reason why I inserted a few minutes of my time today into writing this post is because I didn't want my days of inactivity equal that of my longest streak (which was 19 days for Suck It Up and Go). And most importantly because I am delivering a promise that I have made with this amazing woman - @anneporter.
She'd tagged me in this "Love it, shove it" challenge a month ago. In the spirit of also staying true to my word, I also accepted her challenge of staying insane when it comes to reaching for our goals and ambitions. Needless to say, this woman is as dear to me as a sister who pushes me to focus on doing the job well than on the enormity of work that I have yet to put in.
So sis, what now?
We'll get to them in a while, but first, let me tell you that this post was written in one sitting. That means that this list could evolve over time since I expect for myself to evolve with time, too. So, here goes a lot of things..
What's with this photo, you ask? I just love it. This was taken by my classmate John Matthew Flores.
1.Dressing up

I don't know about you, but dressing up has always been a pleasurable experience for me. I once wrote in my main blog...
I believe the question to ask is not "Who are you wearing?" but "Who's wearing it?" for you cannot take away the wearer from the clothes. Clothes were made for bodies, not bodies for clothes. I can go on about this but what I'm really trying to say is fashionable is 40% the clothes and 60% your attitude. I also believe that the way we dress tells a lot about ourselves. I cannot stress out how important it is to give the world the right pair of glasses to view you on. I'm still experimenting on my personal style, but there are three things I keep coming back to when I dress up - classic, feminine with a touch of dainty.
Who would've thought that two years from the time that I posted this, the magic that dressing up had impressed upon me stayed. I love dressing up for parties!
2. Trying out new things
Photo was taken by my Darryll Rapacon.
My brain super duper loves novelty. Well, it's not only my brain that does, but also others'. When things get repetitive, I like to plunge into something that I've never tried before. Can you spot me in the picture above? I'm to the right of the person in blue.

I recently just started pole dancing, too! Fingers crossed that I become as good as @anneporter!
Photo is from Musikata FB Page.
I tried out emceeing for an event too! I'm in the far right.
3. Science and math
Photo was taken by my classmate John Matthew Flores.
I like science and math! I somehow find it pleasurable to think about something that is complicated at first but once worked through in equations, gets simple and concise. The picture above shows me answering my Differential Equations homework.
4. My heroes
I look up to a lot of people in my life. They give me a sense of direction and hope. Direction in a sense that whenever I don't know what to do with my life, I just take a look at what they've already done and I let them inspire me. They give me hope that amid harsh circumstances, one can still continue to think of the greater good. The picture shows me and my man Jose Rizal. Dude is seriously a genius!
5. Coffee
To say that I love coffee is an understatement. Cliche, but true. I drink black coffee with sugar or honey because I like my drink bittersweet like that.
What's with this photo, you ask? I hate the way I was looking at something here, that's all.
1. People with misplaced sense of entitlement
Photo is from source.
I hate people who think that they have more right to get the good things from life just because they are who they are. People who impose their desires and beliefs on other people give me the impression that they believe they know better. In some contexts this may be true. Like when parents guide their toddlers or when mentors coach their students. But when a friend tells you that the way you live your life is not the way to live it just because it doesn't match up to the way she lives hers, well honey, it's not like she pays the bills for you right?
2. Goodbyes
Photo is taken by my friend, Gerald Franza.
Unlike Sam Smith, I really suck at goodbyes. I'm still learning how to set closures in things that need them. I think I need to because I've been told that they contribute to a greater sense of peace.
3. Science and math
You've read this right. I both love and hate these subjects because they can get a little demanding at times. In order for you to fully understand a concept, more often than not, you have to understand a previous concept first. It is in this sense that I say that these subjects can get a little (or a whole lot) demanding! This is me reading my chemistry book, pretending to be happy about it when actually -
I just want to break into tears. Kidding! I managed to sneak in a few minutes of sleep after reading (one!) page.
4. Time pressure
Photo is from source.
I like to be better prepared when it comes to a super big task. I dislike it when I'm expected to perform really well when in fact I was only given a few minutes to carry out something. People respond differently to pressure, most of the time, I don't respond to it well.
5. Graduation day
Need I say more? I'll let my pimples, hair and makeup do the talking here.
I guess those are all, for now. Thank you again for the tag @anneporter! I don't know if this tagging is still a thing but I nominate @jsmalila and @jan.lives to make their own lists too!
See you in the Steem Summit, Cebuano Steemians!
I hate goodbyes too gail!!!! Just seeing other people go is the worst thing ever.
Yes girl! We just dropped off my father to the airport today. Goodbyes aren't really my thing. I'm replying to comments to distract myself haha

Ateeee! I'd like to think that it's because of our magical bond maong fired up kaayo ko. In a way, you are my catalyst, gitabangan ko nimo ug overcome sa akong activation energy. Haha!
