Over the years, I have got to learn something in life and it is the fact that you should never allow enmity to come between you and your ex. Try to be friends and establish a cordial relationship. Take it or leave it, it is a well known fact that break ups are not easy to get over either you were dumped or you dumped your partner. The memories would always come once a while. At first it may look like you may never get out of it but with time your heart is going to mend. Relationship experts advice heartbroken people to try learn new things, make more new friends, seek professional help if it seems like you may never find love again.

It is important to cut off communication after a breakup in order to hasten up the healing and recovery process but sadly, it is not always possible to control where, when and how the two of you would meet again. Oops! It could be weird. Seeing someone you used to be an item with after you had splitted can hurt both emotionally and physically, even mentally. Nevertheless, life must go on.

What to do when you bump into an ex? Errm. Like I stated earlier, it is advisable that you should have a cordial relationship with your ex after you had break up. Some people turn their ex to an enemy and detest seeing them at all. Such persons may have challenges when they see their ex after a long time and they may just resort to walking away or even hiding.

On the other hand, in order to avoid an awkward situation it's better to make it formal, avoiding hugs, staring too much at each other's faces and above all keep the conversation short and ask more of general questions. Not doing any of these right can bring about memories, you know what I mean?

Having your friends around could be a lifesaver from spending excessive amount of time around your ex. When the chat between you is becoming to intimate, you could signal to your friends to come disrupt the flow of the conversation. Trust me, love could be rekindled in a twinkle of an eye. According to a friend of mine who caught herself up in a scenario where she was talking over a drink with her ex, she was starting to profess her love for the guy once again due to the alcohol she was taking - but she regained her sense when her friends joined them. A quick one: Do not drink alcohol with your ex.

In conclusion, don't forget to be respectful. You never can tell if he will be the MD of that job you are seeking later in life. Don't be hostile towards them.
