The world is booming, also suffering

In our modern age we can see how we advance more and more on any possible imaginable field of study and research.

We create fake humans so we have someone to feel accepted by.

We create a substance that is dissolving plastic from the oceans.

But we are not able to contain ourselves, we are repairing what we are damaging, instead of preventing.
The problem in this race, I feel has come to a point where we become more and more selfish on this planet that we do not realize how manace our existential is on this planet. Considering this I think of the human race being in a race with their own reflection, but in my opinion I believe if we reached this point there is no turning back.
