Of how the little things do count

Is our tiny mother

Whom we love an unlimited amount

In no way is she perfect

But to us she’s pretty close

A plain-Jane, no makeup lady

With a cute white button nose

She’s soft, kind and gentle

But inside very strong

Always lends a helping hand

Or kind words when things go wrong

We’re so lucky to have had you

Be the first person we ever met

Blessed from the start for having you

You’re as good as moms can get

Sometimes when we’re lonely

We think of your warm hugs

Of how we miss our family home

And your cupboards filled with mugs

Each day as we grow older

We find a friend in you

Whenever we feel unsure or lost

You tell us what to do

We wish that we could still see you

Each and everyday

But we know that if we ever need you

You’re just a call away…
