LIES

"Frank you can't do this to me after all I did for you" Edidiong cried as she stared at their pre wedding pictures with tears giving her a brokenhearted bridal makeover.
Edidiong was one of those children born with diamond spoon and lacked Nothing, not even manners. She might not be your definition of beautiful but she was pretty,respectful, humble and intelligent. It was obvious that the least on her list was a relationship because she didn't want to be used and dumped but her mentality changed when Frank crossed her path. She meet him at the school cafeteria where he was been harassed because he didn't have fifty(50)naria to complete mama's black's money for the food he consumed. Edidiong stepped in and After listening to the ordeal,paid off his bills and they parted ways. If you have ever been embarrassed in public, you'll have a reason to meet your saviour and thank him/her for saving your ass.
The sun smiled soothing effects on earth after it has been lashed by torrents for hours and Edidiong cruising to school in her Toyota camry,mistakenly splashed mud on a frustrated Frank who averted his anger on her, cursing her for been careless and proud. Edidiong Parked,stepped down to apologize for the mess and Frank held his breath in awe when he saw she was the same lady who saved him the other day at the cafeteria. He apologized and thanked her for the other day. They made up and became friends, and Frank benefited a lot from her because she hails from a Rich family and is generous and because Frank was subtle and has a degree in lying.Frank lied almost about everything just to extort money from Edidiong, he proposed to her which she accepted and gave him money to start the marriage process. Frank instead used the money to process visa to travel out of the country and each time she ask him when he would come see her family, he either tells her his father has been admitted and would as soon as he is discharged. They took photos together, visited places and wore the couple's tag. On the day he told her he would be coming to see her family for the marriage rite,she received a letter...

Dear Edy,
Am sorry this might come to you like a shock but I need you to forgive me. You were a true friend and am glad I met you even if I had nothing to offer you but lies,hurt and betrayal. It wasn't intentional but sometimes not everyone is privileged is enjoy the benefit people like you born with silver spoon do So we have to make ends meet either by hook or crook. I never loved you enough to marry you because we are from different tribes and you weren't really my kind of woman though you possess wifely characters. I have gone in search of green pastures in Malaysia and Hope you take care of yourself. God will give you the man of your dreams. Thanks once again for everything including your forgiveness.

Lies no matter the reasons why they are said aren't justifiable. One person is always at the risk of suffering the repercussions. Lies break trust and leaves wrong impression.
Don't let your lie be the reason why Someone else is been punished because Edidiong has turned down all proposal because of what Frank did to her.
Every woman deserves to be loved, held,cherished and protected.
