And even if I'm wrought with tire
A soothing sound will slip my lips
Gentler than any passing kiss
You'll roll into a comforted form
Quiet and most sleepily forlorn
So I whisper to you such loving things
of all the dreams your smile brings
I tuck you into blankets soft
Hair brushed back and gently coiffed
Leaning down I whisper to the night
"Hush, my darling, all is right."
