All about the kiss
Nothing like kissing to show your affection for those you love. From the cordial north to the maternal poutou, from the bécot between friends to passionate kisses: these are gestures that change according to culture and time.
The kiss, a mark of respect
The kiss knows a history worthy of the name, throughout the History! During antiquity, for example, one did not need kisses to express one's love (one had to go much more frankly!). On the other hand, if you were to cross two men in the street, you could not think they were gay. In antiquity, the kiss was a mark of respect, gratitude, blessing ...: of social recognition. Uh, and the kiss of Judas?
The kiss, a sign of love
It was not until the 15th century that the kiss became mixed (long live parity!). It is from there that one keeps the infinite embraces in the public places, the stations and the quays, since the gesture becomes a mark of love between men and women strictly speaking!
The kiss, sometimes immodest
Stroll through the streets of Stockholm, at noon or midnight, you will never see lovers kissing, nor friends getting kissed! And yes, what is said about the countries of the north is not so false: the cold climate rubs off on human relations. Swedish lovers are extremely modest, and reserve their inflamed kisses to their intimacy. Between friends, and if you are really close, a hug will suffice. For the neighbors, even if you like them well, just take a long hike!
