Well, the guiding stars of my poetry voyage are:

Adventures that i had myself
Things i have noticed growing up in a multi-generational, strong and extended family
Books and movies i admire and adore
The pictures i have in my head = of the way it is supposed to be ideally
Last, but not the least - imagination and a touch of amusement with the world when the words start their jumping and frollicking around in my head
