Baby Time

in #love6 years ago

With over 7 billion people on the planet, it is so easy to assume that growing, birthing, and nurturing a child is a wholly unremarkable feat. After all, millions of people do it every day.

But your assumption is completely wrong. With, at most, a 30 percent chance of getting pregnant in any given month just getting pregnant is pretty darn miraculous.

When it comes to birthing, there are a variety of complications that can arise that can threaten the life of the mother and the baby. This morning, that is where my mind is. You see, I spent a significant portion of my day yesterday with a migraine. Couple that with the fact that my blood pressure has recently gotten a little high and I also spent a significant portion of my day yesterday in the hospital determining if I have pre-eclampsia (I do not, hooray!). However, the risk of staying pregnant is still pretty significant so I am under strict instructions to call my hospital tomorrow morning so they can tell me when to come it to be induced.

Indeed, when you consider the risk to yourself I think it's fair to say that having children is the most loving thing you can do.
