Why I love

In times past and in times untold,
The search for love will still unfold,
For within us an emptiness cries out,
Hoping against all hope for a substance that holds.

Left for logic I'd probably never love so strong,
Her joy I'd never wish to prolong,
Heck, her mind I wouldn't want to map out,
Against all however, to her I know I still belong.

From afar, I swear she calls to me,
Her scent coming in with the evening breeze,
Her eyes casted down because she has no idea,
But by God, she takes my breath away.love a powerful word.
