I so agree with you. I have never really celebrated Valentines Day either. I think it's all about money and it feels like most people do it just because of obligation.
This day never really had a big meaning to me, since I treat my every day like a Valentines Day and not just in a romantic way, but just spreading my love with my family and everyone around me.
Even though I did buy some chocolates yesterday, since I never buy chocolates and my boys like chocolate and I saw their favorite in the store, I thought I'll surprise them, which I like to do little things like that for them, but not just because it's valenties day, but because I like doing little things like that for everyone. Love, Love and more Love. Can't never get enough and it's the most important thing in the world.

I really love the way you think and treat people! Showing love with small acts of kindness just because you want to show someone how much they mean to you is one of the best qualities a person can have, in my opinion! :)
Even just a nice word/note/text message can be an amazing "gift".
I saw that you made tacos for the boys as well which is a lovely gesture because you put in an effort and you made it with lots of love!

oh, i m 100% agree with you. you can celebrate the day when he bought the onion or carrot for you for the first time, you don't need this V day to celebrate some date that doesn't mean something to you :)

Unfortunately, I know a lot of people who only show love and appreciation on Valentine's day, Women's day etc.
I just wish more people would appreciate each other "on daily basis" - if that makes sense. :D
But I agree with you, it doesn't just have to be a couple's thing.
