10 Kinds of People You Must Not Marry

Hello Steemians, thank God it's friday. The rate of divorce and separations in marriage and relationship world over is alarming. I just thought i should share my thought on the above topic. It could bless someone today. If it blesses you, please show some love!

The most important decision of your life is to make Jesus the lord of your life. The second most important decision of your life is the decision of who to marry. Marriage is sweet if you make it work.

There is a time that is good for a man to be alone Gen 1:31, and it gets to a time in a man's life when he's too good to be alone Gen 2.

Only God can tell you how to make your marriage work because he manufactured the product. But that notwithstanding, there are certain characteristics that must be evident in that person you want to marry before you say ”I Do".

1. Someone who does not have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.
   He/she may be nice e.g Acts 28, but kindness is not love. Nothing can replace Jesus Christ in the life of a man, not money nor properties. Every creature must stay connected to its source or else it would go dry and empty.

2. Someone who is not headed where you are going in life. Amos 3:3. This is the number one reason why people break up or divorce. Entering the "life car" of your partner without knowing its direction is worse. The time for courtship is not the time for petting or kissing, but a time to talk and get to know each other more.

3. Someone who does not look good to you. It is not what your friends say about him/her. Beauty is not just in the eyes of the beholder, but beauty is universal, i.e. even a blind man can see that she's beautiful. Marry someone you're attracted to, so you are not carried away with the attraction of the opposite sex. You can't spiritualize it, no matter how you look, there have never been anyone like you, and there will never be, since the time of Adam. God has created someone for you, wait for that person.
