The two hearts (Poem)

One heart walked sat on the bench,
The other was in a trench,
The words came out of her mouth unhinge,
Made his world... suddenly change,

He couldn't understand why,
She said all relationships will one day die,
He couldn't bring himself to say goodbye,
She wanted to deny,
the love he offered.

He got up and went ahead,
She sat there still cross legged,
He reached his bed,
And then..., his heart was dead.

He shut himself away,
He wasn't part of the family, no, a castaway,
With his heart gone, he was dead only halfway,

Until weeks, no, months went by,
Until he could muster enough strength to cry,
Because her heart was still sat on the bench,
And his was still stuck inside the trench.
