Understanding Matters

Love alone would not keep you and your partner together forever. There's a lot more to the happily ever after than just being in love. To find happiness with someone and to make your relationship last long, love is the first step and not the only step. Another equally important step to making sure that you stay happy forever is that you understand each other. Understanding goes beyond just getting what they say right or understanding what they say wrong... Understanding goes to the point of being able to see through the other person. Understanding the other person entails reading them correctly even when they do not speak a word. Understanding your partner however is not a one day process, it is a lifetime project.
To understand your partner requires a lot of effort. First, you must see it as a two way thing, if you want to understand your partner you should be ready to be understood also. It would involve letting down your guards while trusting the other person to keep you save. Most importantly, it would involve communication. You two must be ready to talk to each other...
