Safer to follow your heart or your head ?

Is it safer to follow your head or your heart ? I was asked this once and this question still remains on my mind. One could say it’s safer to follow your head because your brain helps you to rationalize between what you want and need whereas others would say it’s safer to follow your heart because your heart feels the most and it knows what makes your happy or not. I guess at the end of the day it falls down to each ones preference. What do you think ? Is it safer to follow your head or your heart ?

    I think it is better to follow your head. Difficult and sometimes painful but in the end, it is best.
