Morning reflections on love.

On why we might be scared of love.

we're all human and we deeply share the same psychological needs just as we share the same physiological ones to a point where thinking bad or arrogant of one another while still thinking of ourselves as "good" and "decent" is complete madness and a huge proof of our lack of understanding that would directly lead to arrogance the very specific thing that we already hated in others providing this fact this beautiful verse of poetry triggered me this morning

Now of course it's so easy to be driven with the poet with the lazy shallow look & call the lover arrogant rebelling on the first sight of huge affection toward him or we can have good faith & put ourselves in the shoes of the loved one

We may feel that someone is sickly needy when we don't see ourselves as an appropriate target of someone else's love somewhere inside we don't trust that we are reliable strong dependable admirable or decent..... we aren't quite grown up and those who love us therefor are deranged and fitting targets of mockery or even rejection.

If someone sees happiness with us or depend on us for a pleasant weekend or an evening therefore he must be diseased!!! at the root of our hatred of this people who love us is actually self hatred.

Speaking in a general way we all want love but when love actually starts to be reciprocated it may prove intensely alarming we're not convinced of our own love-ability we can start to think very badly of the people who loved us even if we already liked them at first. we feel they are naive to think of us as wonderful...a great deal more wonderful than we feel we are.

The solution isn't by changing a lover nor by growing a huge self esteem telling ourselves how great we are but to revise ourselves to see ourselves are a more or less plausible people for another and accept with good grace that there is nothing unusually strange or alarming about someone deciding that he/she likes us.
