Love & Marriage 28 - Keep the romance going!
Today I start a new series on the topic of romance in your marriage. What exactly is romance?
In the context of romantic love relationships, romance usually implies an expression of one's strong romantic love, or one's deep and strong emotional desires to connect with another person intimately or romantically. Historically, the term "romance" originates with the medieval ideal of chivalry as set out in its chivalric romance literature.

When you think of romance, you would most probably think of the time when you were dating your spouse or partner. All the fun things you did together would come to mind.
If I asked you when last did you had a romantic time with your spouse, would it be hard for you to think of a time when last you had a romantic time? Or would you be able to describe a recently romantic time you had with your spouse? It should be the last option.
In order to keep the sparkle in your marriage, you have to keep the romance going. Just to like each other and to strengthen the love between you is the true essence of romance. Romance doesn't have to declines as couples get older. Romance should be timeless! It is up to you to keep this important factor in your marriage.

Romance is about giving the most precious gift you can give to each other and that is TIME. Romance is about quality time spent together. Romance is about just to enjoy each other and making happy memories of special times of togetherness.
There are 3 contributing elements to romance: environment, emotion and enjoyment. Spontaneous romance can happen without any of this factors but the combination of all these elements make for a more romantic setting and expressions.
