Happy Love Day

Happy Valentine's Day to all my fellow steemians! 😉

So, what makes Valentine's Day special? We all know it is a celebration of romantic love and celebrated February 14th. Some of you might have already gotten cards, letters, flowers, chocolates or presents or even arrange to have a nice romantic meal in a restaurant or night in a hotel. Perhaps some might think its just like any other day, nothing special and prefer to just stay home and watch tv.

But do you know Valentine's Day is also the Feast of Saint Valentine and also celebrated annually on February 14. Besides celebrating romantic love, we are also recognizing and honoring the saints.

I remember back when i was in school, there is this girl who always expect something for every special day like her birthday, Valentine's etc. So every Valentine's Day or her birthday, before she goes in the class, she would stand at the door and see if there are any flowers on her table and every year there will be either flowers or love shape candies and a card written Happy Valentine's Day or Happy Birthday! stay cute always. From your secret admirer she would smile and bragged about it to all of us. This went on until for about 2 consecutive years.

However, on 1 particular Valentine's Day she didn't receive any flowers or candies from her secret admirer she was quite surprised as for the passed 2 years she had been receiving flowers and candies from him. Although she wasn't sure who he is she somehow felt sad and wanted to know what happen to him? We gotten to know about him from the gossip in school, he is actually one of the teacher's son and unfortunately met with a tragic accident on the way to school. Such a nice and down to earth boy..so sad to see him go so young..as for my friend, she hates Valentine's Day and tends to be emotional about it but that was a long time ago. She is married with 2 kids now. 😆
