even with money, the journey of love can still be rough
parents and religion be making things tough

when the parents don't agree, they make it sound abysmal
sometimes make one want to do things behind them, non-consensual

even when you think you've done enough and even when the parents love you enough
religion will always be the biggest barrier
you can't be a christian and love Hadiza
your parents might like her but, not her name, Hadiza
you try everything you can to convince her that you'd fight for her
but, she don't want to live with the burden of dividing a family on her
you both would have to kill your feelings for each other
crying on each other's arms meaning one another no harm
Because, just like your feelings, the decision is mutual
