Ever wondered how your body reacts to sex? Here's all you need to know.
Sure you know what happens to you when you have sex, however, do you know what happens to your body during love-making, physiologically? What are the changes it undergoes and how? Sex specialists Masters and Johnson authored what is known as the sexual-reaction cycle, which isolated sex in four stages. They are energy, level, climax and determination. Here we investigate what occurs amid each of these periods of sex.
EXCITEMENT
This phase begins anywhere around half a minute to a minute after stimulation.
Male: His penis begins to get erect and even his nipples can get erect.
Female: Her fluids begin to flow. Her vagina, clitoris and sometimes even breasts swell up.
Both: Increase in breathing pace, blood pressure and heart rate.
PLATEAU
Male: His penis is completely erect at this point. His testicles are drawn towards the scrotum.
Female: The external and inward lips of her vagina swell progressively while the opening line to the vagina ends up noticeably limited. For ladies who are not moms, their vaginal lips may turn red and moms may encounter a difference in shade of their vaginal lips to purple.
Both: Muscles end up noticeably strained in hands, thighs and hindquarters. A 'sex flush' can show up on different.
ORGASM
This is the briefest period of the four stages, just enduring two or three seconds for both the accomplices.
Man: He encounters an accumulation of liquid in his urethral globule. This is the point at which he encounters what is called 'ejaculatory certainty'. At that point, he discharges the semen from the penis while he encounters constrictions in his penis.
RESOLUTION
This is the phase that follows climax and can last for even longer than half an hour, mostly for women.
Man: The penis ends up noticeably limp and he may get into the unmanageable period where it is unimaginable for him to climax once more. The span of the refractions varies for men in various age gatherings and driving diverse ways of life.
