Interesting Facts About Love
- Monogamous relationships exist throughout the animal kingdom.
Swans, penguins, wolves, gibbons, ducks, foxes, mountain lions, and eagles are all monogamous, just to name a few.
- It only takes up to 4 minutes to decide whether you like someone or not.
The decision is based mostly upon body language, specifically: 55% on body language, 38% on tone of voice, and only 7% on what the person is actually saying.
- Love is a natural medicine
Holding hands with someone you love can alleviate physical pain as well as stress and fear.
Cuddling releases natural painkillers. Even looking at a picture of a loved one relieves the pain.
- Heartbreak isn't just a metaphor
Being rejected sparks strong activity in the parts of the brain associated with physical pain. Deep emotional distress triggers the brain to distribute certain chemicals that significantly weaken one’s heart. This condition is called the Broken Heart Syndrome.
- Butterflies in the stomach are real.
The feeling is actually caused by adrenaline, which floods your body during flight-or-fight response situations.
What the world needs now is love, sweet sweet love.
So keep spreading it :-)

Interesting percentage statistics you have there, but I absolutely believe it. I always thought that body language meant a LOT.
Super cool facts! Thanks for sharing. Sending love your way~ <3

Love is truly complicated. It has a much deeper affect on society as well as spiritual activity than most realize. Definitely something very positive. It's when rejection happens that creates a result that can be quite disturbing on a more spiritual level as well as the physical affects. Love must be spread and spread it will. :-)
I love this ❤❤ and I love meeting that someone that results in butterflies in the stomach 💕
It is funny how love works and how the little things such as body language mean. I am one to be Monogamous with my partner. We may look at others and think they are beautiful but I honestly couldn't imagine myself with someone else. I am, however, trying to make myself more "open" to possibilities. It is a slow process and I am not sure if I will truly get there or not.
