True Love Endures of this I’m Sure!
Today is Valentine’s Day. For many it is a day of joy, for some sorrow. For me it is bittersweet. I miss my husband, Bob. I treasure the time we had together. I feel his presence and the spirit of his love every day.
I penned this poem as a testament to our love, what was, what is, and what will always be in my heart. This one is for my love…
True Love Endures Of This I’m Sure
yet today I feel despair.
I hope it will not last.
In my deep sorrow.
of this I’m sure!
We have a bond
That reaches from beyond.
I catch glimpses of you.
We have a bond
That reaches from beyond.
When I hear the birds sing.
We have a bond
That reaches from beyond.
When I see our son, such a delight.
We have a bond
That reaches from beyond.
I feel a trace
Of your warm embrace
We have a bond
That reaches from beyond.
You remind me to be brave.

I am so sorry you are missing your loved one today...but thank you for sharing this wonderful, heartfelt poem!

I just literally shed a tear right now reading this poem with my wife. I am so sorry for learn of the death of your husband. I couldn't imagine losing my wife so I can't begin to image what you must have felt and still feel.
This is a beautiful, heart breaking, heart warming poem.
Thank you. I wish you and your wife many years together. Bob and I were married just shy of 22 years when he died.
