The residence of Komodo Varanus komodoensis in the wild is experiencing shrinkage caused by human activities. So the organization of International Union of Conservation Nature and Natural Resources classified Komodo as an endangered animal.
The species of this giant lizard is now protected under Indonesian rule and a national park. A Komodo National Park was established in order to protect their sustainability. The main residence of the giant lizard is now only on the island of Komodo Rinca Flores Gili motang and Gili dasami in East Nusa Tenggara.
Komodo dragons were first documented by Europeans in 1910. The name of these meat-eating animals became so popular after 1912. Twitter Anthony Ouwens, director of the zoological museum in buitenzorg (currently Bogor) issued a paper on Komodo after obtaining this reptile photo and skin .
