Want to Revenge A Hurt or Get Even With Someone? Love Unconditionally!

Love is probably the oldest emotion traceable to the human race. Whether erotic, agape or filio, it’s probably the only word that defines and describes all of our human relationships at any point in time. Love transcends race, color or creed.

That’s why a very good friend of mine had no difficulty crossing the race barrier to marry his Caucasian sweetheart even in the face of initial parental resentment and total disapproval. It simply doesn’t have a unique formula, once you are struck, you are struck!

It is true what they say that one of the strangest things to understand ever is the way of a man around a maiden. It just defies all logic. That’s why you will find the daughter of the king of a provincial district having eye for no other but a commoner whose ancestry is a long lineage of non-achievers; or the son of a wealthy boss falling in love with a maid in his father’s house. That’s probably why some say love is blind! But others believe if love is blind, marriage will restore its sight! (Will talk about that soon).

Love does the strangest of things to people. It makes you go to places you never would go to, even in your dreams. It can make you take decisions that to everyone else, simply looks plain stupid and irrational. It hands you a license to fight a battle that isn’t yours. I remember when I met my wife, I suddenly realized that my thinking was beginning to change. I was paying more attention to certain details that I normally wouldn’t have. I started to see in her, things I had never seen in any woman! Then I knew I was in good trouble, if I’m allowed to say that.

But it is almost impossible to understand the meaning of true love until you have experienced what it means to be treated like thrash, deliberately maligned or singled out for undeserved hatred and maltreatment, whether emotional, physical or psychological. Whether it is filio or erotic love, they are both transient, and with time, they fade and can give way to hurt, anger, disdain, distrust, and even more. The only thing that trumps all these is true love.

According to the good book, True love never fails, it is patient, it is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. It does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, and always perseveres. Now where in the world will you find that kind of love or lover? It is almost none existent until you consciously decide to actually be that person, until you begin to make the efforts to be more patient, not to be envious on any account, not to think of yourself more highly than others, not to keep records of the bad deeds or evil that others have done to you, to trust unconditionally. Then you will be on your way. There is a saying that you can only attract the kind of person that you are. So if you want to attract true love, begin by being the true love for someone.

The Love test: If you have within your grasp, an opportunity to save an enemy, would you take it or leave them to burn at the stakes?

If you truly want to get even with someone, or revenge a hurt, then LOVE unconditionally like Jesus did! You will send their world into an overdrive because then, they will begin to wonder what your revenge strategy really is.
