Love? In 2017?

2017.....Year of the Blonde Cheeto, fiscal uncertainty, and escalading misbehaviors of all kinds. As I devise a way to navigate thru these troubling financial times, I often take a moment to ponder the idea of Love, and where exactly it fits in the order of things these days. "Everybody's looking for something." Words to an old pop song I never bothered learning the name of...doesn't make them any less true thou, especially in the age of instant gratification where everything has a price, and a time limit. The rat race has become a maze run, people spend the majority of their waking moments deciphering how they will maintain their livelihood, improve their future for themselves and there loved ones, and avoid potential pitfalls that could derail us from these goals. This process is tiring and stress filled. Did I mention immediately unfufilling? I was always taught that a proper relationship requires sacrifice from both parties, Give and Take, I believe where the exact words used in the conversation. Yes Love is sacrifice, and 2017 is the "Arrangement Era", where a large number of us find ourselves in situations where there is either Give or Take, but not both. I feel this to be the perfect subject to hold an open forum on, and would rather hear pros and cons on the subject from both sexes. In doing this, maybe we can salvage the year of 2017 and make way for the return of true love
