Wise proverb: Love and faithfulness keep a king safe; through love his throne is made secure. Proverbs 20:28
The Book of Proverbs seeks to teach the most perfect science, the wisdom, to all people regardless of social status or economic situation. Just as some proverbs are addressed to parents or merchants, others are also directed to the most important person in a country, its ruler, and this person was called in ancient times, the king.
Does a ruler want to be successful in his government and carry out all his plans? So, in this sense, the best is to keep this important sapiential book, the Book of Proverbs, always in mind when making decisions, because there is no better adviser than wisdom, which orders everything and manages it in the best way.
And among its valuable advice, the sapiential book teaches us something very interesting with a wise proverb: "Love and faithfulness keep a king safe; through love his throne is made secure" Proverbs 20:28. This expression of wisdom is the reminder of an important commandment: "Love the LORD your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength" Deuteronomy 6:5.
The love for God, the love united to faithfulness edifies, frees the oppressed, and builds social ties with our neighbor. What we send to the universe, that same returns to us: "For they sow the wind, and they shall reap the whirlwind." Hosea 8:7. This love benefits, rewards, that's why a ruler who has this love as the most important thing in his life and his personal relationships will always be safe, if we give love we will receive love and if we give mercy (compassion, kindness, gentleness) we will receive mercy.
The sapiential books like Wisdom, Proverbs, Ben Sira, and Ecclesiastes, always work with a very simple teaching, we live in a universe governed by ethical laws, and those who live according to them achieve true success in life.
