Is there any chemistry?
There is! And processes take place right in the brain. In the presence of a loved one, we feel the fullness of life, and the blame for everything is a hormonal cocktail:
- oxytocin causes affection;
- vasopressin - faithfulness;
- dopamine - pleasure;
- serotonin elevates the mood;
- cortisol causes stress from the wave of feelings;

And this is necessary for the continuation of the family. A couple meets, starts a child, and only strong feelings keep them together, which allows them to engage in upbringing. When the baby grows up, the love fades. Hormones are not produced in such a large concentration, and the work of the brain returns to the usual rhythm.

Absolutely not necessary. As already mentioned, falling in love is a great stress. When the body returns to normal, then probably true love is born. For example, during intercourse, hugs and kisses, oxytocin is produced, which favors loyalty and encourages partners to live together.
