In the Search of a Lost Civilization #3. Who Made the Megalithic Constructions?
The Megalithic Constructions are buildings made of gigantic pieces of stone. Sometimes these stones are aligned perfectly and they are joined one with the other one without the use of mortar. Many of these constructions have been present for thousands of years and their true age is difficult to establish, because there is no record of their construction and because stone cannot be dated.
Examples of these constructions are the Great Pyramid of Giza, Sacsayhuaman in Cusco, Peru and Gobekli Tepe in Turkey. out of these examples, Gobekli Tepe is interesting because it has been possible to date it to 12,000 years before present (BP). The problem with this date is that, according to mainstream knowledge (the one we are taught is schools and that is accepted as "truth"), at that time, we were only hunters and gatherers trying to survive the rigors of the Ice Age and who had not invented agriculture yet.
So the question remains: Who made them? Is our civilization older that we have been told? The level of knowledge and planning necessary to construct a Megalithic Construction is significant, even for today standards, it would be complicated to construct something like the Great Pyramid of Giza.
