longexposurephotography - fireworks at the funfair
In spring and in autumn there is a funfair in Linz called the "Urfahraner Markt" and at the beginn and the end of this funfair you can watch a nice fireworks there. I have already visited this event several times for some fireworks photography and i made already some nice pictures from different angles and positions. These pictures where done from the Donaulände right underneath where the fireworks actually took place. It was crowded and i didn't find a good spot without people in my pictures. First i was dissapointed and thought the people might destroy my wonderful picture but it turned out other than i expected and i really like these picture becaue the show people partying and having fun in front of the fireworks.

Because the light of the fireworks was very bright anyway you can only see silhouettes of the poeple and i really like this photographic effect. I am pretty sure i will try to get simmilar pictures once again some time. One thing that was a bit anoying to me was, that i had to be carefull nobody hits my camera wich was mounted on a tripod in front of me to be able to get the longtime exposure shots.

On this day i had a very different angle to the fireworks than the other tries i did on the funfair fireworks. Because back then i positioned myself on the Pöstlingberg or the Schloßberg wich are 2 hill where you have a nice view over the city of Linz. But both hills are much further away from the fireworks, so this was the perfect spot anyway. But i am always excited how the pictures work out in the end because firework pictures look pretty different each time. There are so many different colors and kinds of explosions.
