- Designed and built by the architect Alfred Waterhouse in 1881 along the lines of the Russian Cathedrals; it contains more than 80 million specimens that reflect a little of the natural history of the planet; a large building with a towering roof, really worthy of dinosaurs and extinct creatures; if you want to visit this great museum it won't cost you even a cent as it's free entry for all, like most UK museums.
