Support Our Local Shops
During this crazy time, there is a lot at stake for many Americans. Businesses are closing due to the need for social distancing. Some of these establishments may never recover. It is hard enough to keep a small business afloat during normal times, never mind during a pandemic. Some restaurants and supermarkets are offering a curbside pickup or even delivery, which the latter to me is the best option. And yes, you should be receiving these items with gloves on. Also, it is important to disinfect your packages with wipes when received.
Check around for websites for your favorite local businesses. If you can order from any one of them necessities that can be shipped, it could go a long way to helping them recover when this is over. The major supermarkets are so swamped with delivery orders that you may be waiting up to three weeks before receiving anything. A small business may be a quicker option.
It was a shame to find out that many businesses just shut their doors without this option. All I can do is pray for those places. With pop-up hospitals still being a week or more away in most areas, no one knows when the country is going to see any relief from this epidemic. Some people are getting creative. There was a cleaning lady who advertised that she will shop for residents in a certain area. Keep a social media and online presence so that you may help these faultless victims.
Does anyone know why I would be receiving a notice that I have a response to a blog, but nothing shows to be read.
