Interest subsidy on bank loans in the shipbuilding industry

With the help of the shipbuilding industry, the government has given a great deal of interest in the loan disbursement and loan repayment period. A notification has been issued by linking the two directives sent from the Ministry of Finance to the Bangladesh Bank. General Manager of the Central Bank's Banking Regulation and Policy Department Abu Farah Md. The Nasheed signed advertisement has been sent to the Managing Directors (MD) of all scheduled banks of the country.

In a letter sent to the Bangladesh Bank from the Financial Institutions Division of the Finance Ministry on 8th February, the government has targeted to provide long-term support to the country's shipbuilding industry to reduce the high rate of interest and long-term payments against the capitalized investment.
