I actually liked Ross Perot. RIP

He was an extraordinary man. He was my husbands Grandmother’s paper boy. She thought the world of him and always talked about him as a young ambitious boy. I am most grateful for his philanthropic gifts to Presbyterian Hospital in Dallas. So many women have been helped by his gracious gift.
I still remember him and the debates v Clinton for '92 election. He had the charts and graphs and was so prepared. I can still hear his TX drawl when discussing Mexico and NAFTA, "if you can't buy what you make, you're not a real country"

There was a lot of honor in this man. Sorry to see that it never caught on in his party. America lost. He and his family were threatened by "Someone" to drop in the polls when he had a significant lead. We probably will never know.On May 24, 1973 Ross Perot was a keynote speaker at the largest party ever held at the White House for POWs returning from Vietnam. He has always been a champion of our POW-MIAs and we should all be thankful that this man has done so much for that community and their families.

Ross Perot did more than anyone else to make Americans aware of the federal budget deficit. It is a serious problem to be so far in debt and waste so much tax money paying out interest. The GOP and DFL both have a problem addressing this. That is why Perot pulled so many votes away as an Independent. He was right about the deficit. It should be a priority issue in 2020.
