What happens with the ends of a tomato
You will probably never find an end of a tomato on a burger, it is always a nice slice from the center.
Also in a restaurant you won't find it at the buffet. But when only the centerpieces are used for the burgers, what happens with the ends? It can be thrown away or used as cattle feed, but in the Netherlands there is a factory that process it to soup and sauce.
Except these ends also deformed or to lilttle tomatoes will be uses for example "passata"; a basic sauce for pizzas and pasta sauces and well-stuffed tomato soup. Soup with 75 percent fresh tomato.
How tasty is that!
