A Better City Would Be ... [LiveSustainably Writing Contest]
...A place where Bees and other insects can roam with an abundance of nectar rich flowers which hang from every building, every street lamp, a world where colour adorns every walk way, home and office.
A place where roofs are either filled with food or solar power, plastic is non existent and people are encouraged to recycle. A city where its main shops aren't filled with clothes that have either been made upon slavery or only for the extortionately rich.
A home for all animals not just humans, where crossings and habitats are made more enticing to animals. Where we work in harmony with nature not against it.
Each road would be lined by trees and the tarmac would be a new material maybe that provides energy as it is used by bike, electric car, train or by foot.
Give a home to the badgers, foxes, let the mice roam for the owls. A ecosystem where our neighbors are not dying from our waste.
No human would leave a trace that isn't biodegradable and our waste wouldn't be shipped abroad.
Ideally a community orchard or garden where at least some food is free for everyone.
Shops would be given free or cheap to people are selling their talents not corporate giants.
Tower buildings would be friendly for birds of pray with nesting areas made available and pathways for smaller creatures through back yards and gardens.
A concrete jungle would transform into a vibrant Green Jungle approachable for all life not just human life.
As you can probably tell I have never lived in a city! But if did this is a city I would like to live in = D
