Daily Digest #21 - Being more environmentally friendly
Remember there is a great competition this week to show how you are reusing and upcycling to prevent and lower waste. Read the post here
@doitvoluntarily shares a post highlighting that single use cups, although they often feel like they can be recycled are in reality not recyclable. The author questions what you (we) can do to improve this situation. What economic incentives or disincentives would alleviate the problem.
@bethwheatcraft shares a honest and brilliant post on how she ended up reclaiming old furniture found in the trash. She invested time into restoring and reselling this furniture. I love how she puts time and effort into taking a perfectly useful piece of furniture and giving it a new life!

Here is a person taking reuse to the max. Yoghurt pot plant pots, cereal box plant pots, egg shell plant pots, coffee in trainers to stop them smelling. All sorts of great ideas the we can use in our day to day lives to be more sustainable. Thanks @mcmonkey. https://steemit.coim/livesustainably/@mcmonkey/reusing-from-my-kitchen-or

Its great to have a tag that people passionate about sustainability can share their experiences and ideas, I would like to share my knowledge in sustainability in the built environment, its not directly connected to waste but I can write articles on sustainability with regards to the built environment if thats ok?
