Hygge - live happily (art of good living)
Hygge or the art of good living. Lately we hear a lot about the happiness and happy life of the Danes and the education of Danish children. We have collected some of the information given in the manual by Meik Wiking, director of the Copenhagen Happiness Institute.
Atmosphere
When Dance asks what is most associated with the lifestyle of hygge, 85% of them mention candles. A good half of Danes almost every autumn or winter day lights at least one candle, and preferably they have natural and ecologically scented candles, they are considered artificial.
In addition to the Danny candles, a lot of attention is devoted to other lighting, which has developed due to lack of light, and from October to March there are only one thing in Denmark: topics.
Candles will conjure up the home atmosphere.
Presence
Be present here and now. Turn off the phone!
Pleasure
Coffee, chocolate, biscuits, cakes, sweets - treat yourself to these overheats.
According to a report from European candy manufacturers, the Danes eat 8.2 kilograms of confectionary per year, and only lag behind the Finns - they are world champions in sweetness and have twice as many sweets as average Europeans. The best-known Danish dessert is a Danish pastry made of leafy dough and creamy filling from sugar, fruit or nuts.
The hot beverages are also happy for the dance. Tea, hot chocolate or boiled wine are very popular, but they still prefer to drink coffee.
Treat yourself to a cup of hot chocolate.
Gratitude
Be grateful for everything and remember that it could be even worse.
Comfort
Relax. Take a break. Relaxation is important.
And not just this - it's also a fashionable style of dress. Danish fashion is simple, minimalist and elegant, but far from being tight.
You must have a scarf - this is true for men and women. As long as this fashion accessory is, the better it is to see.
In Denmark, almost everyone is dressed in black. In the summer, though, a slightly wider choice of shades is permitted. If you are extremely daring, you can even dress gray.
Connectivity
This is perhaps the most important condition for happiness. Most scientists agree that social relations are key to human satisfaction. Almost 60% of Danes think that it is most likely the company of three or four people.
