"The athletes had come from so many countries…
…lifted the lad to his feet.
Then all nine runners joined hands and continued
The one hundered metres reduced to a walk
And the banner above that said "Special Olympics"
Could not have been nearer the mark."
*This is when the story takes a turn*
"It was a scene too good to be true
So all of us tried to capture the view
But then we all started feeling blue
And what happened next was only understood by a few.
The youngest kid who at first had stumbled
Was only pretending when he staggered or rather fumbled
It was all just a trick or a plan to get ahead
To deceive them all and be the only winner instead.
He knew their sensitive hearts,
And so he used their emotions,
All he cared for was a the gold,
Didnt care if his honour took a demotion.
He pushed them all back
And jumped onto the finishing line
None of us had expected this
It sent a shiver down our spine.
Then all other runners were furious
For they didnt care anymore
They held his hand and dragged him back
"Bang!" Shut the door.
We could all hear the screams
And so the arena was filled
But then suddenly all went silent
As if the lad had been killed.
That day he learnt not to use emotions
As he could no longer even scream
For out of all of the emotions
Anger reigns supreme."
