Why Charlie Lee Shouldn't Have Sold His Litecoin

in #litecoin7 years ago

Charlie Lee recently sold all of his Litecoins. This was a very bad idea both for him and for Litecoin itself. Many people said that this was like a CEO selling all of his stock. But this was far, far worse than that.
Litecoin was not meant to be an investment. It was made to be a currency. Imagine living in the USA and selling all of your USD for JPY. It would make no sense! Charlie Lee has basically said that he doesn't believe Litecoin will be a currency in the long run. Given that he probably knows the most about Litecoin, neither should you.
