One good thing I will say about Litecoin. It isn’t very volatile and it moves fast. By the time you purchase your bitcoin, transfer to a marketplace, and trade it for what you want it will have most certainly changed value by some degree. Just to transfer bitcoin on to a different market place it could take anywhere from 1 to 5 hours. Litecoin transfers within minutes and the price really isn’t that jumpy so it’s good as a base coin to trade for alt coins.
