Lisk is trying to solve the PROBLEM of developing on the blockchain – making this as easy as possible through JAVAScript.

Developers can create distribute and manage decentralized blockchain apps by deploying their own sidechains linked to the lisk network – through the creation of Custom Tokens.

The Mainframe is offers stability and security while sidechains are utilized to have unlimited flexibility.
Developers can utilize the sidechains to implement and customize their own blockchain applications entirely without having to create a blockchain from scratch.

LISK uses delegated proof of stake – every LISK holder can vote for a MAINChain delegate which secure the network – there are only a maximum of 101 delegates on the mainchain network.
They can earn blockgeneration rewards – this is a financial incentive

LISK, or LSK is used as FEE to generate transactions and to also use the system functions such as voting for delegates.
