RE: How to Dual-Boot Windows 10 and Manjaro Linux
Will your solution survive a Windows patch round?
Whenever I boot my Windows 10 instead of Linux, Windows starts updating and eventually overwrites the bootloader. At that point my machine will boot straight to Windows.
To fix this I have to boot my rescue USB stick and fix things manually.
Unfortunately no, windows butchering the boot manager is one of the "perks" of dual-boot with windows 10.
I'd love a tutorial on how to repair the boot manager after Windows 10 butchers it. I want to create a dual boot Windows 10/Manjaro system, but I'd like to know what I'll have to do to maintain the functionality of the bootloader.
I've seen several tutorials on setting up a dual boot system, but none ever tell you how to maintain or repair, the dual boot functionality if something goes wrong with the bootloader.
