Exploring The Pinpoint Technique

in #linkedin3 years ago

Pinpoint Technique is now widely used by most individuals and businesses when running campaigns on LinkedIn. This technique helps in directing ads to individuals that fit the desired persona. The technique also allows users to create of list of these individuals so that they can be easily uploaded to the LinkedIn Campaign Manager. There are two main ways of achieving this. You can either pay for it, which is more efficient and faster, and the second way is free. However, it is worth mentioning that even though it is free, it is a lot slower than the first way. One amazing thing about the pinpoint technique is that you will undoubtedly get back what you paid after your first campaign. For smaller businesses, however, the cost might be rather expensive, which is why it is advisable for them to use the free options and maximize their benefits until they expand.

Steps to Note

Step 1: Search option
The first thing to do is to find the individuals that fit your campaign personas. You’ll notice that there are so many filters that will help you perform a targeted search on LinkedIn. The aim is to make it easily get granular. Having the LinkedIn Sales Navigator is also helpful because it will let you access different results for each search you perform. With the standard LinkedIn, you can view up to 1000 search results. However, the Sales Navigator allows users to view 5,000 results. Therefore, for people who want to build a list of up to 10,000, the Sales Navigator is a better alternative.

Step 2: Export results
After you find your desired viewers, you can proceed to export the data. You’ll need the search export tool to carryout this step. The tools have the free option and the paid option also, and it depends on your budget. An example of the export tool is Lix, and the tool has so many awesome features, including features that allow users to export files in CSV formats. You can also use Lix to upload results to the cloud. There are other search export tools that are available for you to utilize.

Step 3: Contact targeting template
The contact targeting templates on LinkedIn is what you’ll need to be able to upload your search results and use them for your ads. Doing this is simple, and what’s more, is that you can also perform different exports at a time before you copy your data into the template.

Step 4: Upload your list
When you are satisfied with the audience you’ve gotten, you can then head on to LinkedIn Campaign Manager to Upload. You can do this by selecting Create Audience, which is below the Account Assets option.

After uploading the CSV file, you’ll be required to wait for 48 hours so that LinkedIn will help in building your audience list. If the campaign manager cannot match a name, it will not be uploaded. However, this is not a thing to worry about. All you need to do is to repeat the steps.
