What?
Escargot is a replacement for the now-defunct MSN servers.

Escargot is currently experimental but usable. Support is planned for all versions of MSN Messenger and Windows Live Messenger.

Requires "Old MSN support" option when creating your account.
Beware: MSN 1/2/3/4 do not have secure login and you should only use "Old MSN support" with a throwaway password.

Choose your preferred language and version of MSN.
(If your language/version isn't available pre-patched, download an unpatched copy and follow these instructions to patch it yourself.)

Log on MSN with your email and password
Tell your friends to sign up, then add them to chat!
Note: At the moment, Escargot has no connection to the real MSN server; your contact list won't be transferred over.
