LimerickContest! "Ned"

I have two limerick entries. The first is more story-like in 2 verses. The second is the funny one.
and while I was doing a bit of 'ned' searching, I found this cute book cover!

There once was a lad named Ned
Who always was asleep in his bed
With crypto in his dreams
and a vision of steems
"We're not so sure!" everyone said

But the story does not end so soon
Steem grew into a sizeable boom
To the people's delight
they declared 'the best site!'
And it grew all the way to the moon!

Who kept body parts under the bed
His mother called sonny
Something smells funny
So he ate her all up instead
